Roundabouts
Going straight on at the roundabout
On today’s driving lesson you will be learning about how to use roundabouts.
As you are approaching the roundabout you will be asked to go straight ahead (let’s assume 2nd exit). As you are approaching you would check your centre and left door mirror, be in the left hand lane unless road marking state otherwise. As you get closer look to your right to check if it is safe to go, once it is you would proceed around the roundabout on the lefthand side, when you get to the exit before your turning, check your centre and left door mirror and then signal, then proceed of at your turning, have a quick check in your mirrors to make sure you have missed nothing and then proceed.
Left at the roundabout
As you approach the roundabout you will be asked to take the first left. As you approach the roundabout you will check the centre and left door mirror. Then when you get closer you would look right to check that is safe to continue. Once it is safe you then continue of the left hand side and go off at the first exit. Once on the new road check your mirrors again to make sure you have not missed anything.
Right at the roundabout
You are driving along the road and you are asked to turn right at the roundabout (let assume the roundabout has 3 other exits). So as you approach you would check your centre and right door mirror, move to the right lane or side near the centre line. As you get closer check to see if it is safe to go if it is then move towards the roundabout keeping close to it. As you get towards the exit before yours check your centre and left door mirror signal left and if safe move over to the left once at your exit procced on to the new road once again check your mirrors and continue.
